AlUla Conference — Opening

A highlights film gives up the one structure an event film normally has: it cannot run in order, because order is what a recap is for. What is left is selection — finding the few frames that carry the scale of a gathering and trusting them to stand for the hours around them. The compression ratio is the craft here, and the grade is kept even across very unevenly lit rooms so a minute and a half of unrelated moments reads as one occasion.
